- Neutrality: FAFEN does not support any political party and takes research-based public positions. It takes a neutral stance at all times and remains above their own party orientation, if any, in imparting their role for the Trust/FAFEN

- Accountability: FAFEN works to strengthen all forms of democratic accountabilities and is open to public accountability of its work, performance and conduct.
- Objectivity: FAFEN gives primacy to facts robust methodologies and information based on facts and/or credible research as a cornerstone to all its processes, programming, public positions and advocacy.
- Rule of Law: FAFEN adheres to the constitution, law, rules and regulations in the country and seeks reforms in ways prescribed under the existing statutes.
- Non-Discrimination: FAFEN does not discriminate and condone discrimination on the basis of caste, color, ethnicity, creed, gender, religion, political, geographical or linguistic background, marital status, sexual orientation, age or physical disability, etc.
