ECP Code of Conduct: South Punjab Regional Network Holds Seminar

Islamabad, February 1, 2024: FAFEN’s South Punjab Regional Network (SPRN) conducted seminars in Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, and Taunsa on ECP’s Code of Conduct.

The purpose of these events was to make political parties and their workers aware of the key principles and guidelines that political parties and candidates are expected to adhere to during the electoral process. Representatives of various political parties including PML-N, PPP, JI, JUI-F, and PTI attended the seminars and took part in the discussion on ECP’s code of conduct for political parties and candidates.

ECP Code of Conduct: Call for Abiding by Law

During the events, it was emphasized that a responsible candidate and worker abide by the law, rules, and regulations. The size of posters, banners, and matters related to election campaigning were discussed with the participants in detail. The seminars were helpful for the participants as they were able to understand the importance and adherence to a code of conduct for political parties and candidates.

Eager Participation Paves Way for Awareness

Overall, there was a positive impact of the seminars on the participants’ understanding of the ECP Code of Conduct and ethical electoral practices. The participants eagerly participated in the discussions and shared their input for future seminars.
